Codes that expire
Every session rotates short-lived challenge codes on the server, so a screenshot passed down the row stops working.
One scannable code is easy to cheat. EENG-AVIS layers rotating challenges, account-bound identity, enrolment checks and an append-only evidence ledger — so the register holds up when it is questioned.
Integrity model
Every session rotates short-lived challenge codes on the server, so a screenshot passed down the row stops working.
The backend decides who checked in from the signed-in account — never from a registration number typed into a form.
A controlled lecturer-assisted flow records the student, the reason and the staff member who vouched for them.
Each record keeps its challenge, method, device signal and timing in an append-only ledger you can defend.
Verified attendance converts into each module's 5-mark semester component automatically, per student.
Students challenge a wrong mark in-app; lecturers approve or reject, and every decision is logged forever.
How a class runs
Pick the module and open attendance. A rotating code appears on the projector.
Enrolled students enter the live code from their own account. Late arrivals and repeat devices are flagged.
Absentees are written on close, marks are computed, and reports are ready before the class leaves the room.
Register for the modules of your year and semester, check in with the live code, track your marks and dispute anything wrong.
Create the modules you teach, run sessions, mark students who have no phone, and export a defensible register.
Invite staff by email, manage the student registry and temporary IDs, and audit every attendance decision.
Students register in under a minute — an official registration number is optional, a temporary departmental ID is issued automatically.
